Singapore Air Con Forum

This forum will allow a platform for Singaporeans to have their queries answered and inquire more information on residential air conditioners in Singapore.

There are a few 'resident' members in the forum who commit their precious time and energy to answer the queries of others. I really appreciated their effort as they are doing this without any pay or returns.

Below is the first Singapore Air Con Forum. Due to hitting the maximum posts allowed, it is no longer in operation. But this forum contains tons for information especially the usual asked question.

Dear Sir,

Recently my inverter air cond.(of 8 months old) went dead. Call the service man and was told that the pcba controlling the fan coil is "dead". He mentioned that for inverter airconditioner, we should NOT switch off the electricity to the compressor unit unless we plan not to the use the unit for more than 1 week - otherwise the PCBA will be spoilt easily...
Is this true ?
Will that not result in more electricity waste ?

peter

Beware of Ever Joint Trading at Blk 159 Ang Mo Kio Ave 4. They sound professional and provide superb material to install your aircon. Never Never engage them, horrible installation and never on time. Worst, pray very very hard that your aircon have no problem after installation, else you will have to wait long long long for rework or repair, and even appointment made, they will come at 9pm!!!

Hi author of Singapore Air con, I think that it would be good to disclose something about yourself/ purpose of this blog by using the 'About Me' facility provided by Blogger which I believe U have omitted (work experience w air-cons/ area of experience etc/ even hobbies +/- e.g. an introduction pg to the blog) - this would surely raise your reader's confidence/ interest in the information that U have so kindly shared on this blog.
Just my 2c suggestion.

Recently airlock break down due to not cold.. Engage a few contractors and they proposed to change the PCB board or change the Wall mounted Aircon.. Super angry.. Luckily I meet young enterprise group holding and he proposed that all I need is chemical wash to indoor unit and general washing to outdoor. Problem solved.. Highly recommend them and they are contactable at 90660775
